There is a very distinct difference between biblical meditation and other traditional forms of meditation. For instance, in most other types of meditation, the individual tunes into the “self” as the knower. The Biblical Path To Wellness - An Interactive Memoir by Kaysha Sahai has much to offer Christians from all walks of life and all levels of Christian growth. The book is based upon the author's success with the Word and the means by which she has been able to grow in her relationship with God. She beautifully shares the love of God throughout the book in a way that makes the Word come alive and literally breathe new life within the heart.Like most of us, Kaysha has had difficulties in her life that have caused her much inner pain, but she has used her problems to achieve great spiritual depth and power to live a successful life. At the young age of 19 she met with a great challenge when she began to notice the signs of Alopecia Areata which causes patches of hair loss and can lead to total hair loss. At first Kaysha desperately tried to hide the problem, but one of the most profound aspects of her book is the progression she makes from the shock of what had happened to her to the amazing metamorphosis she experienced by yielding her life to God for change and healing. Kaysha is an amazing woman who makes it clear that we can all have the courage we need to face any struggle by looking to Jesus. As the reader journeys with her through her struggles to the awareness of who she is in Christ we see God's love emerge through her and reach out to others. She is such a wonderful example for young women who are insecure about who they are, how they look and what others think about them, proving to them with examples from her life that the insecurities each of us hold tightly to are the only barriers between us and success.
The Biblical Path to Wellness also shares the specifics of how Kaysha was able to steadily grow in the Word. She came to realize the importance of healthy living and eating to keep one's body sanctified and well for God. Her section on Biblical meditation combined with correct breathing not only builds faith but teaches an overall wellness to create a daily balance in one's life. I appreciated that she made clear the difference between Biblical meditation and other traditional forms of meditation which are vastly different from one another.I highly recommend this book to all Christians of all ages. She found great comfort and inner healing after she began meditating on God's word and applying it to different areas of her life.
