Gary bares his heart in his new Christian life book, Slaying Life's Dragons and Beasts. He clearly states the events of his life beginning from early childhood to a young adult that led to his seeking God and becoming a doer of the Word. A loner for most of his young life, I believe that many men and women can identify with his story and the hardships that brought him to the realization that he was must either change or suffer an early demise.
What most impressed me was Gary's triumph over the lifestyle that had almost taken his life, one that could be said almost happened to him, rather than Gary cultivating it. Courageously, Gary chose to step forward with God to slay life's dragons and beasts instead of succumbing to the pitfalls of life.
This clearly written book lays a strong foundation and step-by-step account of what Gary did to overcome the battles in his life that were fighting to keep him in bondage. But this isn't a book about Gary's life, it's a book of Christian guidance that can lead those struggling with life to a life fulfilled and free of oppression from whatever it is that is keeping them from living a successful life.
The chapters in Slaying Life's Dragons and Beasts provide specific problems common to many, the battles associated with each, and the victory which can be achieved by using the scripture and prayers he provides for healing. He also offers a page at the end of the chapters for the reader to utilize and apply the text to their lives.
This is a valuable source of Christian guidance and healing for those trapped within a life of destruction. It gives a vivid picture of God's love, forgiveness and healing for all.
